MICDROP - COPY INSTALLATION (Windows x64)

Close DAWs before updating and allow the previous helper to finish transfers
and exit. Extract the entire ZIP and run Install MicDrop.bat. Approve UAC only
to copy the bundle into C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\MicDrop.vst3.
There are no questions about DAW paths and no setup wizard, Windows service,
scheduled task, startup entry, or automatic firewall changes.

You can instead copy the complete MicDrop.vst3 folder to that location yourself.
The engine is included in Contents\Helpers\MicDrop Engine.exe. Keep the folder
intact; do not copy just the inner DLL or launch the engine yourself.

Restart/rescan your x64 DAW and load MicDrop. The plugin starts its bundled engine.
Phone and PC must use the same trusted Wi-Fi/hotspot. Windows Firewall may ask
to allow incoming connections for MicDrop Engine.exe. Permit Private networks
only on your own trusted network. Copying does not bypass OS firewall, antivirus,
local-network permissions, or router isolation. Do not disable these protections.

The helper uses TCP 8080 for pairing/transfers, UDP 8081 for discovery and a dynamic
UDP port for Live Mic. MixChecker's UDP 49320 firewall rule does not apply here.
Managed firewalls may require an administrator-approved engine-specific rule.

Release binaries are built with the static MSVC runtime; no separate Visual C++
runtime installer is added. Public releases still require publisher signing.
Windows ARM64-native and 32-bit DAWs are not supported by this x64 bundle.

Uninstall by closing DAWs and deleting MicDrop.vst3. Recordings and pairing data
are retained. Previous plugins are stored in Common Files\MicDrop Backups.
